Program Description
The alumni of the Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences (MCIS) Department at Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) is offering a Book Scholarship to eligible Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Science, Mathematics, and Mathematics Education majors. Any MCIS major wishing to be considered for this scholarship should apply today.
Procedures
Complete the MCIS Alumni Book Scholarship Application.
Submit all attachments and requested items with this application to ensure that all items are available for review at the same time. All items should be submitted together in one sealed envelope.
Address completed applications to: MCIS Alumni Book Scholarship, MVSU 7257, 14000 Highway 82 West, Itta Bena, MS 38941-1400.
Bring or mail the completed MCIS Alumni Scholarship Application package to the MCIS Department.
All applications must be typed and received on or before July 15 for the Fall Semester and December 15 for the Spring Semester.
Eligibility Requirements
Be a current Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Science, Mathematics, or Mathematics Education major.
Submit applications by the deadline.
Be a Freshman (2nd semester only), Sophomore, Junior, or Senior for the semester in which you are applying.
Provide a current unofficial MVSU transcript.
Provide a statement by the applicant clearly stating the need for the scholarship and the title of the book that is wanted. The statement must be typed and 100 words or less.
Provide one signed reference rorm from an MVSU Faculty/Staff member. (All MCIS Faculty and Staff members are excluded.)
